Texas Considers Alcohol-To-Go & Delivery

Restaurants in Texas may soon be allowed to sell alcohol-to-go as more than just a pandemic measure. The Texas House gave its initial approval on Wednesday to a proposal to permanently allow beer, wine, and mixed drinks to be included in delivery and carryout food orders. Gov. Greg Abbott signed a waiver last March to allow to-go alcohol sales after restaurants had to close their dining rooms. The waiver was meant to expire last May, but it was later extended indefinitely. The House will vote on the bill again before sending it to the Senate.
