Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick says Gov. Greg Abbott should take executive action to reverse massive overcharges for wholesale electricity during the winter storm. The state Senate swiftly passed a bill on Monday to require the Electric Reliability Council of Texas to reverse more than four-billion-dollars in charges to utilities statewide. But the state House took no action on the proposal beyond referring it to a committee on Thursday. The House then adjourned till Monday.
