Man Stabs Jack In The Box Employee After Refusing To Wear Mask

Police are looking for a man who reportedly stabbed a Jack in the Box employee after refusing to wear a mask just outside of Houston.

Officers responded about 8 p.m. Wednesday to a reported assault at the restaurant on West League City Parkway.

Investigators say 53-year-old James Schulz stabbed an assistant manager several times with a pocket knife after arguing with employees about the restaurant's mask policy.

Schulz is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The employee wasn't seriously injured.

Governor Gregg Abbott lifted the mask order last week, but businesses are still allowed to require face coverings.
