Texas businesses are responding to the lifting of the state mask mandate on Wednesday.
George Kelemen of the Texas Retailers Association says most business owners are keeping the mask requirement in order to protect the health of their employees. He says there's a concern about confrontations over the new rules.
Business owners have the right to require masks, and customers who refuse could face charges of criminal trespass. Kelemen says the business community has the backing of law enforcement in this matter.
