The fired CEO of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas says he won't seek or accept his severance pay. His contract shows Bill Magness would have been owed more than $800,000. ERCOT's board voted on Wednesday to give Magness a 60-day termination notice. ERCOT has been heavily criticized recently for failure to prepare and respond properly to the winter storm that knocked out electric power for millions of Texans and caused dozens of deaths.
