A proposed state bill would mandate a number of polling places on public college campuses during election cycles. State Senator Jose Menendez filed Senate Bill 408 to make voting more accessible to young Texans. Menendez claims students from all over the state called his office during the last election, saying their campuses didn't have enough polling locations, or any at all.
