Emergency benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will be available through March. Governor Greg Abbott announced on Friday he's extending the benefit. SNAP recipients will also continue to get a 15-percent increase in their benefits through May. The added funding amounts to about 229-million-dollars from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
