A man is now in custody after a police standoff at a far west Bexar County home. Sheriff Javier Salazar announced just after 6 p.m. Sunday that the standoff had ended after several hours when the man surrendered. Salazar says the man has been taken to a hospital for mental health treatment. The man reportedly had a mental health evaluation a few months ago, but was somehow able to obtain an AR-15 afterward. Nobody was injured in the standoff.
