9 Of 11 Fort Bliss Soldiers Out Of Hospital After Ingesting Antifreeze

Nine of the eleven Fort Bliss soldiers who unknowingly consumed antifreeze are out of the hospital. KDBC reports that a Fort Bliss spokesperson said as of yesterday there was still one soldier in intensive care and another in the non-critical care ward. Colonel Shawna Scully, Deputy Commander at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, says most of the soldiers are doing "incredibly well" in view of the fact that ethylene glycol in antifreeze is capable of causing kidney damage or kidney failure. The case is still under investigation.
