A doctor with terminal cancer is believed to be the shooter in a Central Texas murder-suicide.
Austin Police Lieutenant Jeff Greenwalt says Dr. Bharat Narumanchi barged into a pediatric office with multiple guns Tuesday and took five employees hostage. Most were able to escape or were let go. SWAT officers later found Narumanchi and Dr. Katherine Dodson shot to death.
Greenwalt says the pair met for the first time last week when the suspect attempted to get a volunteer position at the office. Narumanchi's family is cooperating in the probe.
