Trump Says Goodbye, Heads To Florida

"Have a good life. We will see you soon." That was President Trump's final public remarks during his term. The President made brief remarks to his family and supporters at Joint Base Andrews before boarding Air Force One. Trump listed his accomplishments in office and joked to the crowd "we were not a regular administration."

The President said his accomplishments were "amazing, by any standard." He vowed to be "back in some form." Trump also noted that the economy was booming before the coronavirus outbreak.

Trump cheered his administration's help in fast-tracking coronavirus vaccines. He again labeled the pandemic the "China virus." He called it a "horrible, horrible thing" and urged Americans to be "very, very careful." The outgoing First Lady thanked supporters for their love and support. The Trumps will not attend the Inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden at the Capitol, breaking a long tradition. They are headed to their Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. Vice President Mike Pence is expected to attend the inaugural ceremony. President Trump wished the new administration great luck and success. He did not mention Biden by name.

He is heading to Florida to begin his post-presidency life. Trump is the first President to choose to skip his successor's inauguration in 150 years.
