Layers of security are still in effect in Washington, DC ahead of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration.
That comes as massive protests set for this weekend didn't materialize in the nation's capital.
Thousands of National Guard troops have swaths of the city on a virtual lockdown.
The security in DC comes as a few supporters of President Trump's claims the election was stolen protested at state Capitol buildings across the country. Those buildings are also being fortified with security forces.
