Texas Congressman Dan Crenshaw is denouncing his fellow Republican colleagues who he says helped instigate the riot on Capitol Hill. Crenshaw says some GOP members of Congress gave Trump supporters the false hope that they could change the results of the election if they just fought harder. He says this rhetoric set the stage for Wednesday's events in Washington, DC. Crenshaw also says neither President Trump nor his supporters fully understand the power behind their words. Crenshaw's District 2 is in the Houston area.
