Americans could begin getting coronavirus vaccine shots as soon as next Monday or Tuesday. That's what Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar said this morning when he announced the FDA intends to go ahead with emergency use authorization for the Pfizer BionTech vaccine. An FDA advisory panel on Thursday recommended the agency grant the emergency use authorization.
