Governor Greg Abbott is enthusiastic about the arrival of the coronavirus vaccine in Texas. Abbott spoke on Tuesday in a White House panel discussion, joined by the governors of Louisiana, Tennessee and Florida. He said more than 7,200 Texas providers have signed up to administer the vaccine. The governor said 1.4 million Texans will receive the first of two doses as soon as next week, with the second dose for the same group arriving in January. Abbott pointed out that inoculation will not be required in Texas.
