A Rio Grande Valley area high school football star is in trouble after hitting a referee during a playoff game. Video from last night shows Edinburg Bobcats defensive end Emmanuel Duron running onto the field and plowing into the ref at full speed.
The incident happened in last night's game between Edinburg and Pharr-San Juan-Alamo.
The video also shows teammates and coaches trying to stop Duron without success. The teen was removed from the stadium by police officers, but there's no word on charges. The senior went after the ref after being ejected from the game. The ref was checked out for a concussion and shoulder injury and did not return to the game.
