A top local health official says the coronavirus vaccine may be available in Bexar County soon, but it's hard to say when. Dr. Junda Woo, the medical director for Metro Health, says limited amounts of a vaccine may become available locally as soon as next month. Dr. Woo says any vaccine has to clear regulatory hurdles before distribution, with federal agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration. She says it's more likely the general public in Bexar County will have access to the vaccine by next summer or fall.
