The NBA's Board of Governors is preparing for a shortened season that will start in late December. The board unanimously approved an amended Collective Bargaining Agreement yesterday. ESPN reports the approved deal clears the way for several financial and competitive rule changes for the upcoming season. The reduced 72-game schedule will begin December 22nd. The salary cap will be set at just over $109 million.
