Senate Reconvenes As Coronavirus Relief, SCOTUS Nomination Top Agenda

Senators return to work today with a coronavirus relief package and a Supreme Court nomination at the top of their agenda.

The full Senate convenes two weeks later than planned after two Republican senators tested positive for the coronavirus.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says the "first order of business" will be a vote on what he calls a targeted coronavirus relief plan, totaling 500-billion dollars.

Later this week, senators will take up President Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett, who's expected to get the endorsement of the Judiciary Committee.
