Boil Water Notice Lifted In Lake Jackson

A boil water advisory issued for Lake Jackson is lifted. The advisory was issued on September 26th after a deadly brain-eating amoeba was found in the city's water supply. It was lifted yesterday after the city and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality deemed the water safe to drink. Although residents no longer have to boil the water prior to using it, they're encouraged not to get it up their noses.
