Pandemic Prediction: Researchers Expect Spike In COVID19 Deaths This Winter

Another grim prediction as the coronavirus pandemic rages on.

Researchers at the University of Washington now say the U.S. is on track to have at least 2,900 COVID-19 related deaths every day in December.

Health experts say one reason is that the colder weather is driving people back indoors where the virus is more likely to spread.

Researchers also mentioned "pandemic fatigue" - saying people become less careful as cases drop in some places and there's pure exhaustion from dealing with the pandemic for so long.
