Officials at the University of Texas say the threshold for automatic admissions will not change for the summer and fall semesters of next year. They stated on Wednesday that Texas students who graduate in the top 6% of their high school class will be admitted automatically, as required by state law. The same threshold has been in effect this year and will continue in spring 2022. The mandated threshold for most Texas colleges and universities is 10%.
