It looks like Oracle, not Microsoft, will be taking over U.S. operations of the massively popular social media app, TikTok.
On Monday, Microsoft announced that TikTok's Chinese parent company, ByteDance, had rejected its offer. Shortly after, reports emerged that Oracle would be named as its 'trusted tech partner' for U.S. operations.
TikTok has been under fire from the White House over suspicions it was collecting data for the Chinese government. The Trump administration had given a deadline of Sept. 20th to sell the company or be banned in the U.S
