The Texas Longhorns started out the season with a bang, slamming UTEP 59-3.
The Longhorns scored early and often. The Longhorns scored touchdowns on five of their first six possessions and added a field goal on their seventh, jumping to a 38-0 lead, before closing out the half with a touchdown on their final possession.
Sam Ehlinger opened the season with a record-setting first half, establishing Texas records for a single half with 429 passing yards and five passing touchdowns.
Texas is back in action on September 26th against Texas Tech.
