Veterans in San Antonio are calling on Governor Greg Abbott to allow VFW posts to reopen. The posts have been shut down since Abbott's anti-pandemic order in late June that closed bars and other businesses that make more than 51-percent of their money from alcohol sales. On Monday, dozens of veterans protested at VFW Post 8541 on Austin Highway. The vets said the posts are essential because they play an important part in their lives.
