Senator John Cornyn is among a bipartisan group of his colleagues calling for a Senate hearing that focuses on Fort Hood. The Texas Republican, along with Democratic Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey of Massachusetts, wants the hearing to examine the culture at the Texas base. The command climate would also be reviewed following the deaths of Sergeant Elder Fernandes and Specialist Vanessa Guillen. Cornyn, Markey, and Warren are asking that the Senate Armed Services Committee hold the hearing.
