The Bexar County Elections Department plans to send vote-by-mail applications to all county voters age 65 or older. In a meeting on August 18th, county commissioners directed election officials to mail the applications to eligible voters. Elections Administrator Jacque Callanen announced on Thursday that the postage-paid applications will be mailed by September 15th. They must be returned to the elections office by October 23rd. County Judge Nelson Wolff says there are about 250-thousand voters age 65 or older in the county.
