Framber Valdez struck out a career-high 11 batters as the Astros smashed the Angels 11-4 in Houston. Valdez gave up four runs over seven frames to get the win. Carlos Correa broke the game open with a bases-clearing double in sixth as the 'Stros ended a three-game slide. Pablo Sandoval got chased in the third and fell to 0-and-4 for LA. Justin Upton homered in the loss, and Albert Pujols drove in a run to move into third on the all-time RBI list behind Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth. The Halos are one of two American League teams under 10 wins, along with Boston.
