The Medical Examiner's Office is identifying an 11-year-old girl who died after a weekend shooting on the Northeast Side. San Antonio police say Donita Henry-Phillips was one of eight people in a car that somebody shot at on Saturday evening. The car was on Walzem Road near Midcrown when the shots were fired at about 6 p.m. Another car in the same area with three people on board also came under fire, and a 35-year-old woman was critically wounded. The child died at the hospital on Sunday. Police have no suspects or motive.
