US Jobless Aid Below One Million for First Time in Five Months

963,000 Americans sought unemployment aid last week, making it the first week in five months that jobless claims fell below one million.

The Department of Labor's latest report comes as many Americans have lost their weekly $600 federal jobless benefits.

While the amount of those seeking unemployment aid dipped below one million for the first time in 21 weeks, the numbers are still historically high.
