McConnell: Senate Will Not Adjourn for August Recess Until COVID19 Stimulus

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says the Senate will not adjourn for August recess until a coronavirus relief bill materializes.

The Kentucky Republican said they have "no significant movement toward progress" because Congressional Democrats continue to stonewall President Trump's team.

McConnell said many businesses are "reaching the end of the rope" as funding for the Paycheck Protection Program is set to run out. He stated that since the virus remains with us, commerce has not roared all the way back.

McConnell added that Congress should be strengthening the PPP, but instead "Democrats are putting it in jeopardy" to focus on "unrelated liberal demands."
