State Alcoholic Beverage Regulators Allow Some Bars To Reopen

State alcoholic beverage regulators allow some bars to reopen from the COVID-19 shutdown. The Daily Record reported yesterday that the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission decided last Thursday to allow bars, distilleries and breweries to open as long as they have a permanent food kitchen or food truck on site. The businesses also can't have on site alcohol as the source of more than 51% of their total sales. Alex Pasternak, co-owner of Roughhouse Brewing on Oakwood Loop in San Marcos, says it's good to reopen but the reasoning behind the 51% sales equation is unfair since it isn't actually based on public health or safety.
