All schools in the Boerne ISD will be allowed to open on August 12th with both virtual and in-person instruction. District officials made the announcement on Tuesday, saying it was based on the latest legal guidance from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Metro Health issued a directive earlier this month delaying in-person classes until September 7th for all schools in Bexar County. Paxton stated Tuesday that school district officials, not health authorities, should determine when and how to reopen Texas schools.
