Hurricane Hanna left damage at Padre Island, prompting the Padre Island National Seashore to close this week.
According to a news release, the park will remain closed until further notice. Hurricane Hanna caused damage on both the Laguna and Gulf sides of the island. We are hoping to be re-opened by the end of the week but will not know for sure until a full assessment has been completed.
