A member of University of Texas' custodial services is dead from coronavirus.
Interim President Jay Hartzell says the death is devastating to the person's family and rest of the campus community. He also encouraged people to wear face coverings, practice social distancing, and wash hands on a regular basis.
The UT-Austin staff member tested positive last month and is the first coronavirus death at the school.
