Supreme Court Strikes Down Louisiana Abortion Law

The Supreme Court has voted down Louisiana's restrictive abortion law that would have limited the state to just one functioning clinic.

The Court ruled 5-4 on Monday that the law, which required clinics to have admitting privileges with a nearby hospital, was unconstitutional. Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the Court's four liberal justices.

It was the first abortion-related case heard by the Supreme Court since conservatives Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh were appointed by President Trump.
