The nation's top doctor on infectious diseases says the Trump Administration is considering changing how it tests for the coronavirus.
Anthony Fauci said there have been intense discussions of switching to pool testing, which would cast a broader net and require fewer resources.
Here's how it would work: Samples are taken from a group of people and they are all tested at once. If it comes back negative, they don't have to worry about that group. If it comes back positive, then each member of the group would be tested again individually.
