The San Antonio ISD board is adding three weeks of breaks to the upcoming school year in response to the pandemic. The board approved a revised 2020-21 school calendar on Monday. The district says 15 days will be added to the calendar year in case of an outbreak. The week-long breaks will be scheduled around the Thanksgiving, Christmas and spring breaks. Students can use the breaks for make-up days or for additional learning assistance. Teachers can work during these weeks if they choose, and they will be paid.
