Metro Health reports an increase of 72 coronavirus hospitalizations, increasing the number of patients hospitalized in Bexar County to 518. 146 are in ICU and 79 are on ventilators. In the past 17 days, the county has seen a 600% increase in the number of people hospitalized.
There have also been 3 new deaths, bringing the death total to 100 since the pandemic began.
San Antonio and Bexar County are updating their orders to restrict any outdoor gatherings to no more than 100 people. The move follows an order issued by Governor Abbott earlier today giving municipalities the ability to issue such orders.
