Texas Children's Hospital is now treating adults to help handle the rise in coronavirus cases. Hospitalizations for coronavirus have nearly tripled in the Greater Houston area in the past month. If it keeps up, Texas Medical Center group hospitals in the nine-county Houston area will run out of regular-capacity ICU beds two weeks from now. Other local hospitals are ready to activate their surge plans.
