Protesters blocked traffic on Interstate 35 in Austin this afternoon after a protest at Austin police headquarters spilled over onto the freeway. At least one person was arrested after throwing liquid on officers. Eggs were also tossed at officers during the protest.
The protest and rally had been scheduled following the Minnesota death of George Floyd, who died while in police custody earlier in the week. Austin was one of many cities around the country and in Texas where protests have taken place.
