Twitter Flags White House Retweet Of Trump Tweet

Twitter is flagging a White House retweet of a post that was flagged when President Trump made it.

The social media company says it violates its rules on "glorifying violence." Trump condemned the unrest in Minneapolis, saying -- "When the looting starts the shooting starts." That was a reference to violent protests over the death of a black man in police custody. The Trump tweet and the White House retweet are still viewable but are hidden beneath disclaimers.

Trump signed an executive order this week aimed at curbing the powers of social media giants. Meantime, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called the growing feud a "distraction" to divert attention from the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
