Former Florida congressman Allen West is hospitalized after being involved in a motorcycle wreck near Waco.
West was transported by helicopter to the hospital, where he is currently in stable condition and undergoing assessment.
West had reportedly just attended a "Texas Freedom Rally" in Austin prior to the accident.
Governor Greg Abbott tweeted, "All the best for LTC Allen West. All those prayers are gonna be answered."
Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush tweeted, "Just heard news that Allen West was involved in a motorcycle accident near Waco this afternoon. Please join me in sending prayers for a quick recovery."
