San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg and County Judge Nelson Wolff are partnering in a request for more pandemic funding from the state. Judge Wolff spoke yesterday, saying the state is not funneling enough money to high-impact COVID-19 areas like San Antonio. Funding numbers show San Antonio has only received 28-percent of state money despite having almost 70-percent of the COVID-19 cases in Texas' metropolitan areas. Mayor Nirenberg added that City Council is working on a recovery and resilience plan to best leverage the funding they receive.
