The Texas Department of Criminal Justice says two more employees recently died from COVID-19. Officials say the victims were corrections officers who were hospitalized prior to their deaths. There are now seven employee deaths linked to the virus, and 27 inmate deaths. The department says 582 employees or contractors and 1,427 inmates have tested positive for the virus.
