The local pandemic recovery team is announcing its recommendations for reopening San Antonio-area businesses safely. Two of the team's co-chairs presented the plan to Bexar County Commissioners and City Council members during a virtual joint meeting on Tuesday. They suggested that businesses can sign a pledge to increase consumer confidence, safety checklists for various industries, and protective equipment provided to small businesses by the city and county. Mayor Ron Nirenberg and Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff announced the formation of the COVID-19 Economic Transition Team last month.
