Judge Blocks CA Law Requiring Background Checks For Ammo Purchases

A federal judge has blocked a new California law that requires background checks to ammunition purchases.

The judge said the law was "convoluted" and "defies common sense", citing a report that it blocked legitimate sales 16 percent of the time.

California passed the law last July, the first state in the U.S. to do so. New York passed a similar law that never took effect.
