A car loaded with illegal immigrants was involved in a chase overnight. It began in Dimmit County and came to an end in Bexar County when the car deputies were chasing wrecked along I-35 near New Laredo Highway and Cassin Road.
The chase lasted nearly two hours before ending in the wreck. In all, seven people were in the car. The driver is now facing human smuggling and evading arrest charges.
