A Bexar County commissioner who referred to a local nursing home as a "house of horrors" isn't backing down. Precinct 4 Commissioner Tommy Calvert made the remark about the Southeast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where an outbreak of coronavirus has taken place. Metro Health is demanding an apology for Calvert's comment, and for saying patients at the center aren't being cared for properly. Calvert says no way. At the rehab center, 17 patients have died, and dozens more patients and staff have tested positive for COVID-19.
