Twitter CEO Donates $1 Billion For Coronavirus Relief Efforts

The battle against the coronavirus just got a big boost thanks to the CEO of Twitter.

Jack Dorsey announced Tuesday that he will put up $1 billion - with a B - of his own money towards global relief efforts.

The donation, which Dorsey claims represents around 28 percent of his wealth, will go into a fund called Start Small, LLC. After the pandemic is over, the remaining cash will then be spent on "girl's health and education, and UBI [Universal Basic Income]."

According to Dorsey, all disbursements will be publicly tracked.
